How to Read BTC Holder Behavior on Exum
A practical order for reading regime, SOPR, cohorts, RHODL, and VDD without treating the desk as a buy/sell button.
1. Start with the regime pill
Read the today label and confidence:
- High — metrics mostly agree; headline is trustworthy as context.
- Low — mixed inputs; read Why this regime before acting on the word alone.
If you see regime changed, compare yesterday vs today in the banner.
2. Scan four numbers (collapsed view)
| Metric | Quick question |
|---|---|
| SOPR | Profit or loss spending? |
| VDD | Old coins moving? |
| RHODL | Cycle heat? |
| LTH-SOPR | Are veterans selling at profit? |
3. Open the lab when something looks off
Five panels:
- Profit / loss — SOPR + zones
- Old coins — VDD
- Cycle heat — RHODL
- Valuation — MVRV
- Cohorts — STH / LTH
Read the gray interpretation line under each title — it is rule-based, same as the engine.
4. Optional Pro layers
- Holder AI brief — narrative of the same snapshot
- Regime watch — daily alert on regime change
5. Cross-check outside on-chain
On the same BTC page (Asset Info):
- Truth Check — is price action leveraged?
- Health Check — is BTC structurally liquid?
Holder behavior is slow context; Truth Check is fast hour context.
Common mistakes
- Treating accumulation as "buy" — it means on-chain tone, not timing.
- Ignoring mixed regimes — often the correct answer.
- Reacting to one VDD spike without SOPR/cohort confirmation.
